In this project, I worked with the Leibniz Institute to develop a concept for a foldable luggage rack, intended for use on gravel bikes. When needed, it can be folded upwards from the seat stays and can be used as storage space or as a mounting solution. When not in use, the luggage rack rests against the two seat stays and thus does not interfere with the overall aesthetics of the bike.

The luggage rack is made of maple wood and reinforced on both sides with a carbon fibre roving.
